In the spring of 2012, The Missouri Review, a much esteemed quarterly literary publication in Columbia, MO., celebrated its 35th anniversary. For the anniversary, the staff wanted to do something that broke the mold of the paper-and-ink publication: put a collection of editors’ picks on the iPad.
I worked with two other graduate students on The Missouri Review’s Little Black Book of Fiction, which includes a multitude of pieces from different genres, as well as audio commentary on each story from Speer Morgan, the editor-in-chief of The Missouri Review. Below are a few page design samples, all of which are interactive and touch-sensitive.
